What is a Print?


1. Maybe a print is anything that leaves an impression.

2. It is the end product resulting from a process in which the artist or team of artists create a unique matrix to be used as a vehicle for transferring pigment onto a receiving surface. I might add that this process is highly variable, often collaborative, sometimes exacting, frequently liberating, and almost always pleasurable and addictive.

This image of the .Japig is now on display at the Nevada Museum of Art in the Educational Department in an exhibit of art by the teachers at the E. L. Cord Museum School, Reno, Nevada.
